Basketball Recap: Patriot Takes Down Gainesville in a Playoff Battle

Patriot had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Gainesville Cardinals by a score of 63-56 on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Patriot's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.0 points over those games. As for Gainesville, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7.

Looking ahead, Patriot will face off against Colonial Forge on Friday. Patriot knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 20 matches -- so hopefully Colonial Forge likes a good challenge.
