Baseball Recap: Marshall Academy Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

It's playoff time, and Marshall Academy had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the North Delta Green Wave 8-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Marshall Academy let Charlie Cross and Tucker Chumney run wild. Cross went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI, while Chumney got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs. Those three hits gave Cross a new career-high.

Marshall Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Delta only managed five hits.

As for North Delta, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-11.
