Baseball Recap: Kellis' Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Kellis can bid farewell to their 14-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They won by a run and slipped past the Westview Knights 17-16. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since March 10th.

Kellis got a massive performance out of Diego Banda, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Banda a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alec Deleon, who went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.

Kellis kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Kellis' win bumped their record up to 5-18. As for Westview, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Kellis nor Westview have any future games scheduled.
