Soccer Recap: Lincoln Finishes Even with Mt. Pleasant

It was a proper cat-fight when Lincoln challenged Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday. Neither the Lincoln Lions nor the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time the Lions have been dealt a draw since January 8th.

Lincoln's draw makes their record 5-5-4 this season. Meanwhile, Mt. Pleasant's record is now 8-2-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln has already played their next contest (against Leigh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mt. Pleasant will square off against Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Pleasant's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
