Volleyball Recap: Clarksville Comes Up Short

Clarksville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Borden Braves, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-3, 25-7, 25-8.

Borden's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kallie Hilgenfeld led the charge by getting six digs and two aces. Those six digs gave Hilgenfeld a new career-high. Tinsley Mullen also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Clarksville's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Borden, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Clarksville will head out on the road to take on Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Borden, they will take on Lanesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
