Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arete Prep). Everything went their way against the Tonopah Valley Phoenix on Monday as the Arete Prep CHARGERS made off with a 9-1 win. It was an even better day for Owen Whitehead as he scored four goals for his team.

Arete Prep's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-8. As for Tonopah Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arete Prep will challenge Horizon Honors at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Tonopah Valley, they will square off against Yuma Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
