Basketball Recap: Bald Eagle Area Triumphs

Bald Eagle Area had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They pulled ahead with a 44-43 photo finish over the Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bald Eagle Area's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Philipsburg-Osceola, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

When Bald Eagle Area and Philipsburg-Osceola next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Bald Eagle Area will try to stop West Branch's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on December 27th. Similarly, Philipsburg-Osceola will square off against Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy and their five-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th.
