Softball Recap: Aquinas Drops Highest Score of Season Against Woodcrest Christian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Aquinas). They put the hurt on the Woodcrest Christian Royals with a sharp 15-3 win on Tuesday. The victory was familiar territory for the Falcons, who have now won three matches in a row.

Ava Vega and Zoey Galindo did most of the damage at the plate: Vega went 2-for-3 with three runs and three RBI, while Galindo went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave Galindo a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia De La Fuente, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Aquinas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 9-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Aquinas' record now sits at 11-8. As for Woodcrest Christian, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Aquinas beat the Royals by a score of 13-3 on Thursday.
