Football Recap: Springdale Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Springdale's offense. They were outmatched by the Clairton Bears and fell 51-0. While losing is never fun, the Dynamos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 555th, while the Bears are ranked 134th).

Springdale's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Clairton, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Springdale will square off against rival Greensburg Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Clairton is set to challenge their familiar foe Leechburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Bears 3.2, the Blue Devils 14.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
