The Cape Elizabeth Capers will take on the Hermon Hawks at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Cape Elizabeth is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.5 goals per game this season.

Cape Elizabeth is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Yarmouth a 2-0 shutout. Cape Elizabeth haven't had any issues with Yarmouth recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Hermon faced Skowhegan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Hawks blew past the River Hawks 5-0. The result was nothing new for Hermon, who have now won 14 contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Hermon's victory bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Cape Elizabeth, their win bumped their record up to an identical 17-0.

Everything went Cape Elizabeth's way against Hermon when the teams last played back in November of 2021, as Cape Elizabeth made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Capers since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
