Soccer Game Preview: MacArthur vs. Pieper

The MacArthur Brahmas will challenge the Pieper Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

MacArthur is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let Brackenridge get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory. MacArthur's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last six games.

Their offense was hitting Brackenridge from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Giuliana Ruiz led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, while the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was Pieper who was credited with the win on Friday. The Warriors got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to Liberty Hill's six.

Pieper has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 41 goals over those ten matchups. As for MacArthur, their win bumped their record up to 13-8-3.
