Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Dragons vs. Oakridge Warriors

The Monroe Dragons are taking a road trip to take on the Oakridge Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Tuesday, Monroe took a blow against Kennedy, falling 64-28. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Oakridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 73-53 to Central Linn.

Monroe's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Oakridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Monroe strolled past Oakridge in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 72-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monroe since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
