Baseball Recap: Palmer Takes a Loss

Palmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to the Monson Mustangs. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Mustangs earlier this season, when they won 4-2.

Palmer saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zackary Marciniec, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Marciniec's first of the season.

Palmer's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Monson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Palmer will venture away from home to challenge Pathfinder RVT at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pioneers have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Monson, they will welcome Lee at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
