Baseball Game Preview: Belleview Rattlers vs. Dunnellon Tigers

Belleview is 0-10 against Dunnellon since May of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Belleview Rattlers will welcome the Dunnellon Tigers at 7:00 p.m. Belleview will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Belleview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Leesburg on Tuesday as Belleview made off with a 15-6 victory. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Rattlers with their most commanding win of the season.

Dylan Florio was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Jayden Fortune was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Belleview was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. The last time their batting average was this high was back in February of 2024.

Meanwhile, Dunnellon lost 7-1 to Trinity Catholic on Tuesday.

Belleview's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Dunnellon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Belleview came up short against Dunnellon in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 4-0. Can Belleview avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
