Reserve came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Hondo Valley, but Jon Herrera wouldn't allow it. The Eagles secured a 76-70 W over the Mountaineers on Friday with plenty of help from Herrera, who shot 55% from beyond the arc to rack up 43 points and six steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 19.5 points per game.

Another player making a difference was Ismael Ontiveros, who posted 20 points and four steals. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least 17 points.

Hondo Valley's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Reserve, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
