Softball Recap: Walnut Takes a Loss

Walnut was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sunny Hills Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 6-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2018.

Walnut saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rihanna J, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Walnut's record now sits at 1-5. As for Sunny Hills, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walnut will welcome Claremont at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sunny Hills, they will be playing at home against Yorba Linda at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
