Chaparral has gone 8-2 against Murrieta Mesa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Pumas will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 6:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Chaparral came up short against Vista Murrieta and fell 3-1. The Pumas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Chaparral had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 24-26, 25-21, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Murrieta Mesa was able to grind out a solid win over Great Oak on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

Murrieta Mesa was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 22-25, 25-15, 25-16.

Chaparral better focus on containing Livie Corelli and Analei Bradley as the pair were huge in Murrieta Mesa's win. Corelli had 13 digs and five assists, while Bradley had 17 digs and four aces. Those five assists gave Corelli a new career-high.

Murrieta Mesa was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive contests.

Murrieta Mesa's record now sits at 29-6-2. As for Chaparral, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15.

Chaparral couldn't quite get it done against Murrieta Mesa in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Pumas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
