Baseball Game Preview: West Springfield Terriers vs. East Longmeadow Spartans

The West Springfield Terriers will head out on the road to face off against the East Longmeadow Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. West Springfield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

On Tuesday, West Springfield was able to grind out a solid win over Agawam, taking the game 6-1. That's two games straight that the Terriers have won by exactly five runs.

Meanwhile, East Longmeadow got the win against Agawam on Monday by a conclusive 10-2. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by eight runs or more this season.

West Springfield's record now sits at 11-3. As for East Longmeadow, their record is now 9-5.

West Springfield beat East Longmeadow 8-5 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Terriers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
