Basketball Game Preview: Manchester West Blue Knights vs. Oyster River Bobcats

The Manchester West Blue Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Oyster River Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Manchester West took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 54-42 victory over Milford. The Blue Knights haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Oyster River took on ConVal on Tuesday. Oyster River strolled past ConVal with points to spare, taking the game 67-53.

Manchester West's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Oyster River, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Manchester West didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Oyster River in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Manchester West since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
