Central Falls came tearing into Friday's match with 16 straight wins dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Shea Raiders 23-11. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 15-14 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Chaelys Brito Acevedo was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mabel Guzman, who scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Central Falls was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .542. Their batting average was a full 0 higher than the also-impressive .412 that Shea posted.

Central Falls' victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0. As for Shea, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
