There's no place like home for Mauldin, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Woodmont Wildcats 49-13. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Mavericks just coasted through the last quarter.
Mauldin found their leader in sophomore  Kamari Cannon, who rushed for 100 yards and two  TDs on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was  Reddick Langston, who threw for 113 yards and a pair of  touchdowns.
 Mauldin was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 340  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
Mauldin's record is now 4-5. As for Woodmont,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 2-7.
 Coming up, Mauldin will challenge J.L. Mann at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Mavericks will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.89  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Woodmont, they will face off against Hillcrest at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Rams have now posted at least 31  points  in their last three games.
