Basketball Recap: Willow Springs Comes Up Short

Willow Springs has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They lost to the Thayer Bobcats on the road by a 63-49 margin on Thursday. The Bears were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Willow Springs' loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Thayer, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Willow Springs will host Bakersfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Thayer, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Houston at 7:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Thayer is facing Houston at the right time seeing as Houston is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
