Softball Recap: St. Ignace Starts Season with Loss on the Road

St. Ignace had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell 9-5 to the Boyne Falls Loggers.

Cadence Cullen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

The win (which was Boyne Falls' ninth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

St. Ignace and Boyne Falls will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Saints will square off against rival Rudyard at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Boyne Falls is set to take on their familiar foe Mackinaw City at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
