Basketball Recap: Calumet New Tech Comes Up Short

Calumet New Tech lost against 21st Century Charter back in February of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Calumet New Tech Warriors had to suffer through a 81-40 loss at the hands of the 21st Century Charter Cougars. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-18.

When it comes to explaining why Calumet New Tech lost, don't look at Johnny Hudson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Terrence Hayes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for 21st Century Charter, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Hayes a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lemetrius Williams, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Calumet New Tech's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7. As for 21st Century Charter, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Calumet New Tech will host Lake Station Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for 21st Century Charter, they will challenge Father Tolton at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
