Basketball Recap: Heather Jo Bush and Celyn Lyons Secure Win for Combs

Combs won the last time they faced Crismon and things went their way on Thursday too. The Combs Coyotes walked away with a 39-32 victory over the Crismon Rattlers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Coyotes.

Combs was led to victory by Celyn Lyons and Heather Jo Bush. Lyons went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points, while Bush posted seven points and 19 boards. Bush is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ambriah Lujan, who scored four points.

Combs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Combs' win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Crismon, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

Combs has already played their next match, a 41-33 victory against ALA - Queen Creek on the 31st. As for Crismon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-39 win against Poston Butte on the 31st.
