Villa Joseph Marie typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Gwynedd Mercy Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Jems. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Monarchs have posted against the Jems since September 16, 2022.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 15-25, 25-23, 33-31, 24-26, 15-13.

The win made it two in a row for Gwynedd Mercy Academy and bumps their season record up to 9-5. As for Villa Joseph Marie, their defeat ended a nine-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-6.
