Softball Recap: Danvers Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Danvers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 13.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over the Beverly Panthers. With that victory, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Ellie Lindeman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Briley Keezer was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyla Moroney, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Danvers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.

Danvers' win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Beverly, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coming up, Danvers will host Swampscott at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Beverly, they will venture away from home to square off against Lexington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
