After losing to Topeka the last time they met, Ottawa decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Cyclones put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cyclones as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.
Becca Meyer paced Ottawa's offense, picking up 16 kills. Meyer got some help from Leah Askins-Dieterich and her 38 assists. Payten Tate and Dylan Nichols kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Ottawa's win bumped their record up to 13-22. As for Topeka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-19-4.
Ottawa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Topeka, they will challenge North at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
