Volleyball Recap: Bradley-Bourbonnais Takes a Loss

Bradley-Bourbonnais was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Lockport Porters. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Boilermakers of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-11.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' offense was headlined by Harper Yuska and Hannah Wojnowski, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Harper Tollefson and her 11 assists.

Lockport found their leader in sophomore Emma Consigny, who had nine digs and three assists. Mary Donnelly also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Lockport, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Bradley-Bourbonnais and Lockport should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Boilermakers (ranked 117th) will meet Joliet Central (ranked 496th) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Lockport will face off against Loyola Academy at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (8 vs. 43).
