Basketball Recap: Teays Valley Takes a Loss

Teays Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 81-40 loss at the hands of the Newark Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 534th, while the Wildcats are ranked 26th).

Teays Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Newark, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Teays Valley will face off against Marysville at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newark, they will challenge Reynoldsburg at 7:30 p.m. on February 14th.
