Softball Recap: Hamburg Comes Up Short

Hamburg lost against Williamsville East back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Flames by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Claire Sokolowski spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits.

Hamburg's record now sits at 7-7. As for Williamsville East, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hamburg is set to face off against their familiar foe West Seneca East at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Williamsville East will challenge rival Amherst Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
