On Friday, Hewitt-Trussville faced Oak Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Hewitt-Trussville Huskies came out on top against the Oak Mountain Eagles by a score of 50-39. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Huskies as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Hewitt-Trussville's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 17-8. As for Oak Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-7.

Hewitt-Trussville is facing Moody at the right time seeing as Moody is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Oak Mountain, they will welcome Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoover knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 25 games -- so hopefully Oak Mountain likes a good challenge.
