Volleyball Recap: Terry Sanford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Terry Sanford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Cape Fear Colts. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Colts this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Terry Sanford was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-22, 25-11.

Avery Morris paced Terry Sanford's offense, picking up five kills. Morris got some help from Addyson McMillian and her five assists. Morris was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Cape Fear found their leader in sophomore Sophia Wilson, who had 21 assists and five digs. Wilson has been hot recently, having posted 19 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Terry Sanford's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Cape Fear, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Terry Sanford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Gray's Creek on the 9th. As for Cape Fear, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Scotland on the 9th.
