Basketball Recap: San Domenico Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

San Domenico suffered their closest loss since December 16, 2023 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Junipero Serra Padres by a score of 54-51. The Panthers lost against the Padres in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 73-47 score last time.

San Domenico's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Junipero Serra, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.

San Domenico and Junipero Serra should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. San Domenico (ranked 194th) will meet Lincoln (ranked 574th) at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Junipero Serra will take on San Marin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday up 253 places (76 vs. 329).
