Softball Recap: Wittenberg-Birnamwood Find Success

Wittenberg-Birnamwood won the last time they faced Weyauwega-Fremont and things went their way on Monday too. The Chargers walked away with a 7-2 win over the Warhawks. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

Ella Eichman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Jayda Moenke was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Wittenberg-Birnamwood's victory bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Looking ahead, Wittenberg-Birnamwood will face off against Amherst at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Weyauwega-Fremont, they are taking a road trip to square off against Wild Rose at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
