After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hoover, Roane County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Wahama White Falcons by a score of 6-2. For Roane County, this counts as revenge for the 11-2 loss Wahama walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2019.
Mahailey Nicholson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. Nicholson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive pitching appearances. Nicholson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-2 with an RBI.
