O'Connor entered their tilt with Warren on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Warren Warriors 50-48. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-36 back in November of 2024.

O'Connor's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hagen Hurst, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. Hurst has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Evan Herrera was another key player, going 5 for 8 en route to 15 points and five assists.

When it comes to explaining why Warren lost, don't look at Devin Petersen. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 14 on his way to 20 points along with six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Lacour, who went 5 for 12 en route to 14 points.

O'Connor pushed their record up to 14-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Warren, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the O'Connor Panthers take on the Sotomayor WILDCATS at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sotomayor is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.5 points per game this season. As for Warren, they will challenge Marshall at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Marshall also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 57.7 points per game.
