Basketball Recap: Solon Springs Eagles vs. Hurley Northstars
After flying high against Drummond last Tuesday, Solon Springs came back down to earth. The Solon Springs Eagles fell to the Hurley Northstars 52-46. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Northstars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-43 back in January.
Solon Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Hurley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Solon Springs will host Bayfield at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Bayfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 77.1 points per game this season. As for Hurley, they will be playing at home against Washburn at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Washburn knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Hurley likes a good challenge.
