Soccer Game Preview: Christ's Church Academy vs. St. Joseph Academy

Christ's Church Academy is 1-9 against St. Joseph Academy since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Christ's Church Academy Eagles will take on the St. Joseph Academy Flashes at 7:20 p.m. Christ's Church Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season.

Christ's Church Academy is headed into the contest having not lost since December 10 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let University Christian onto the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. Caleb Shepler had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, St. Joseph Academy was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against Bartram Trail, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Flashes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 146th, while the Bears are ranked 33rd).

Christ's Church Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for St. Joseph Academy, they moved to 12-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
