Softball Recap: Crest Finds Playoff Glory Versus Enka

Crest extended their postseason success on Friday against Enka. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Jets 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted since March 28th.

Aidan Ledbetter spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Madison Crocker was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Crest's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 24-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Enka, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 23-2.

As of now, neither Crest nor the Jets have any future games scheduled.
