Northside strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Yates Lions get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Coco Hernandez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Nicholas Juarez and Jeremy Castillo did most of the damage at the plate: Juarez went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Castillo went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Juarez is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chris Huerta, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Northside hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Yates struck out eight times.

Northside's record is now 15-0. As for Yates, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Northside will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Lions: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
