Baseball Game Preview: Cypress Ranch Mustangs vs. Langham Creek Lobos

For the second straight game, Cypress Ranch will face off against Langham Creek. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lobos at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Cypress Ranch has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Cypress Ranch let Langham Creek stack five runs on them in the second inning on Tuesday but luckily Cypress Ranch prevailed anyway. The Mustangs skirted past the Lobos 7-5.

For Langham Creek's part, Adam McNew was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. McNew has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Langham Creek saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Moss, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Cypress Ranch has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Langham Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-17.
