Softball Preview: Branchville Yellow Jackets vs. Edisto Cougars

The Branchville Yellow Jackets will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Edisto Cougars at 7:00 p.m. Branchville knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Edisto likes a good challenge.

Last Tuesday, while Branchville put up plenty of runs, the same can't be said for Bridges Prep. Branchville put the hurt on Bridges Prep with a sharp 16-0 win. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for Branchville this season.

Kayden LaPiene made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). LaPiene was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
