Baseball Recap: Sand Rock Takes a Loss

Sand Rock managed to slip by Spring Garden the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Sand Rock Wildcats lost 12-2 to the Spring Garden Panthers on Friday. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Lathan Amos was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two).

Sand Rock's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Spring Garden, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sand Rock and Spring Garden will both be playing Section the next time they take the field. Sand Rock will head out to face Section at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Spring Garden will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
