Recap: Show Low Cougars vs. Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets
The Show Low Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They fell just short of Blue Ridge by a score of 60-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cameron Wallentine, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Preston Power, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Show Low's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Blue Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 8-13.
Show Low will be playing at home against Winslow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Show Low will be up against Winslow's rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.82 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. As for Blue Ridge, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Snowflake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Snowflake has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 174 points over their last three contests.
