Soccer Recap: LaVergne Takes a Loss

LaVergne managed to keep up with Cookeville until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Wolverines came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, LaVergne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 84th, while Cookeville are ranked 16th).

LaVergne's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Cookeville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1-1.

Looking ahead, LaVergne will venture away from home to face off against Rockvale at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Cookeville, they will welcome Wilson Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
