Volleyball Recap: Rockford Auburn Comes Up Short

Rockford Auburn was the 2-1 winner over Boylan Catholic when they last played one another back in April, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans on Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17.

William Lewis paced Rockford Auburn's offense, picking up four kills. Lewis got some help from Conner Hawkins and his ten assists. Finally, Tevin Tennial kept Rockford Auburn's defense grounded, leading the team with two blocks.

Leading Boylan Catholic to victory were Abraham Parsons and Zach Lamkin. Parsons had eight digs and two aces, while Lamkin had 15 assists and four digs. That's the most digs Parsons has posted over his last three matchups.

Rockford Auburn now has a losing record of 18-19. As for Boylan Catholic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-12.

Looking ahead, Rockford Auburn will take on Rockford East at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Boylan Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
