Baseball Game Preview: Cascade Cougars vs. West Delaware Hawks

Cascade hasn't had much luck against West Delaware recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Cougars will square off against the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Cascade's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so West Delaware's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Cascade proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 14) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past North Linn 5-3. The victory was familiar territory for the Cougars, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Delaware). They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over Center Point-Urbana on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Cascade's record now sits at 5-1. As for West Delaware, their record is now 3-5.
