Volleyball Recap: Chula Vista Comes Up Short

Chula Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Victory Christian Academy Knights. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Brad Chier had an outrageously good game for Victory Christian Academy as he had 11 kills, seven digs, and three aces. Chier has been hot recently, having posted nine or more kills the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Austin Dill, who had five kills, four digs, and one block.

Chula Vista's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Victory Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-4.

Chula Vista has already played their next matchup (against High Tech CV), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Victory Christian Academy, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Crawford on the 15th.
