Basketball Recap: Patuxent Takes a Loss

Patuxent was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss. They were beaten by the McDonough Rams 69-24. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Patuxent's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kamauri Jones, who posted ten points, and Shane Lawrence, who scored no points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead McDonough to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mekhai Johnson, who had 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Stepney, who earned 11 points.

Patuxent's loss dropped their record down to 1-21. As for McDonough, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: McDonough beat Patuxent by a score of 77-34 on Friday.
